Tradition

D3-FeaturedD3 baseball is a Christian influenced, character based, fundamental minded program intent on teaching lifelong values through baseball.Through God’s guidance, the staff at D3 baseball will have the strength and wisdom to be successful in influencing young lives in a positive manner. God being the center of our lives allows everyone involved the opportunity to properly use the talents that he has so graciously blessed us with win or lose, on and off the field, our goal is for all to see Jesus Christ through every coach, player, and parent. Through him all things are possible.

Character is who you are when no one is watching. Therefore, character starts with the individual. Baseball allows the opportunity to teach maturity, loyalty, compassion, self- esteem, respect for authority, teamwork, sacrifice, humility, patience, and more. All are important when preparing ballplayers for successful, everyday living. These are also the things needed to get to the next level of baseball. One example of many goals is to build confidence by learning to handle fear and understanding that failure is ok. Fear of making a mistake will hinder ballplayers from being successful and failure relates to adversity. Players learn to ether give up or fight through, which in both situations involve controlling ones emotions. Life is not fair and growing up is hard, so the preparation   process needs to start now.

D3 baseball wants to provide the best baseball instruction possible. Sound fundamentals’ are essential in the success of a child’s individual physical growth and development as well as in their team play. As they develop physically they will grow into their fundamentals. Therefore, by putting the emphasis on proper mechanics early, bad habits are greatly decreased.

What does D3 stand for?
The three D’s to succeed: Dedication, Discipline, and Desire. Success, or being a winner, is not necessarily measured by the number of games you win, but more on what it takes to win. Hard work, Attitude, Teamwork? All are good answers, but without the dedication to IT, the desire in your hearts to accomplish or better IT, and the discipline to see IT through, one will not be very successful. We believe that encouraging players and coaches to implement this motto into every aspect of their lives, anything can be accomplished.
